First Experimental Week of CRC 1261 at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt in Berlin

The Collaborative Research Centre 1261 (CRC 1261) successfully completed its inaugural experimental week from the 8th to the 12th of May, 2023, at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Berlin. The PTB, which is Germany's premier authority on metrology and measurement technology, provided an ideal environment for conducting magnetic experiments with our ME sensors under reproducible laboratory conditions. The team, composed of both PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, as well as a medical doctor, were all involved in carrying out various ME experiments. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Peter Krüger, Tilmann Sander-Thömmes, Jens Voigt, Silvia Knappe-Grüneberg, and William Evans. Their efforts and expertise significantly contributed to the successful progress of the experimental week and ensured the smooth execution of the experiments. The next phase involves detailed evaluation and cooperative analysis of the recorded data from the experiments with the Biosignals Department 8.2 of the PTB. Following the successful conclusion of this first experimental week, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming experiments at the PTB, scheduled to take place in October (16th – 27th).
