Biomagnetic Sensing at the German Conference of Women in Physics

From September 18–20, 2025, the German Conference of Women in Physics (Physikerinnentagung) took place in Kiel. This event brought together a diverse group of experts to network, exchange ideas, and discuss science and careers, with students and early-career researchers warmly welcomed.

The program offered a rich mix of cutting-edge physics talks—from quantum technologies and materials science to astrophysics and biophysics—alongside career panels, teaching workshops, and discussions on equal opportunities.

A special highlight for our team was the talk “FAIR data for better science from DAPHNE4NFDI” by Bridget Murphy, one of the local organisers and PI of Biomagnetic Sensing project A6, as well as the poster presentation “Domain Structures in AlScN Thin Films” by Ella Dieball, also a member of project A6.

We are proud that Biomagnetic Sensing could support this valuable conference and showcase our research alongside such an inspiring community of physicists.
