Retreat at "Nordsee Akademie Leck"
In our last retreat at the “Nordsee Akademie Leck” from 15.09.2022 to 16.09.2022, all members of our CRC gathered with the aim of interchange ideas, promoting fruitful discussions, and sharing our last findings.
On this occasion, a new format was introduced. Each doctoral researcher presented their project orally in teaser presentations, for later give more details in poster sessions.
These were divided into:
- sensor principles, and sensor production
- sensor understanding, and sensor modeling
- sensor readout and sensor evaluation
- biomedical applications and outreach
The poster sessions were concluded with a group discussion where each presenter summarized the key ideas of their face-to-face conversations. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schmidt addressed relevant topics to our CRC such as databases and programs, our international fellowship program, and science communication. The latest considers a podcast in audio and video format, which is planned to be complete in mid-2022. It will include not only information about ME sensors and their applications but also personal experiences working in this CRC. Finally, we enjoy the company of each other during lunch and dinner time, giving us the opportunity to strengthen our collaborations.
