Focus Group F1 "Magnetic Layers"

The performance of magnetic layers is a key cross-project topic. Here, material-related issues, such as deposition conditions and post deposition treatment, domain engineering for reduction of magnetic losses, stress control, alternative magnetostrictive materials as well as exchange coupling for self-biased magnetostrictive materials are discussed. The integration of advanced magnetostrictive multilayers into the sensor specific fabrication is a second focal point of the group.
